Fall 2023 NEAR EASTERN STUDIES COURSE - Satyel Larson, an assistant professor, will be teaching "The Healing Humanities: Decolonizing Trauma Studies from the Global South." The course material includes a book on the syllabus written by Jasbir Puar, a Rutgers University professor. Puar's book, The Right to Maim, claims, inter alia, that Israel purposely maims rather than kills Arab Palestinians in order to control them and perpetuate the "occupation."
